Splash Sports QuickPicks Rules
What is QuickPicks?
QuickPicks is a peer-to-peer fantasy sports contest in which entrants create an entry of 2+ players. Each entry must contain at least two players and the players must be from at least two different teams. For each player chosen, the entrant uses their knowledge and skill to predict whether the player will score more or less than a statistical projection.
Once an entry is submitted, the entrant is entered into a contest with other entrants who have selected the same number of players and paid the same entry fee. Each correct selection earns the entrant 1 point. The entrant who scores the most points during the contest takes home the guaranteed first place prize. If multiple entrants tie for first place, the first place prize is split evenly among all winners.
Are there restrictions on what players I can include in a QuickPicks entry?
Each entry must contain at least two players and the players must be from at least two different teams. An entry can not include a player more than once. For example, you can not include Patrick Mahomes “More” than 200 passing yards and Patick Mahomes “More” than 20 passing completions on the same entry.
How many entrants are included in a QuickPicks contest?
Contest sizes are dependent on the number of picks in the entry. 2 Pick contests have a maximum of 4 entrants, 3 Pick contests have a maximum of 8 entrants, 4 Pick contests have a maximum of 16 entrants, 5 Pick contests have a maximum of 32 entrants, and 6 Pick contests have a maximum of 64 entrants.
Some contests may run with fewer than the maximum number of entrants in order to improve the user experience. When this happens the guaranteed prize remains the same.
How do I win a QuickPicks contest?
QuickPicks is a winner take all contest. Each correct more or less prediction earns 1 point. If a chosen player does not play (DNP) or if the player ties the statistical projection, the entrant is awarded 0.5 points. The entrant who scores the most points is awarded the guaranteed first place prize. If multiple entrants tie for first place, the first place prize is split evenly among all winners.
In the event that every entrant in a contest scores the same number of points and there are no entrants who have gotten all of their picks correct, then all entrants in the contest will receive their full entry fee back.
Why was my entry Voided or Refunded?
There are multiple scenarios in which an entry may be voided. All voided entries receive a full refund of the entry fee.
Player does not play (DNP)
An entrant's chosen player may be classified and scored as "Does Not Play" or "DNP" if:
An entrant who choses a player who ultimately is classified as DNP shall be awarded a score of 0.5 points for that pick.
How long does it take for a QuickPicks contest to match?
The timeframe for a QuickPicks contest to match depends on several factors, including the entry fee amount, the number of picks submitted, and the number of sporting events on the calendar. Upon submitting your picksheet (entry), Splash Sports will automatically and randomly attempt to match it with other valid entries of the same roster length and entry fee. While most contests match within 24 to 48 hours, delays may occur if there are too few entries or if the picks are from slates with non-overlapping game times. Matching is not guaranteed within a specific period and is contingent upon user participation.
When can I view my opponents' picks and scores?
Opponent selections and resulting scores will only become visible once the contest is fully matched and locked. This policy is in place to ensure the integrity and fairness of all QuickPicks contests. Disclosure of competitor picks prior to contest lock is prohibited in order to prevent any participant from gaining an unfair advantage.
Can I edit or cancel my entry after submission?
Entrants are provided a two-minute window following entry submission during which the entry may be edited and or canceled. After this grace period, all entries are considered final and irrevocable. No edits, modifications, or cancellations will be permitted beyond the initial two-minute window.
What happens if a statistical projection changes after I submit my entry?
All statistical lines are locked at the time of entry submission. Any adjustment movements that occur after the time of entry have no effect on the original terms of that entry. For illustrative purposes, if a player’s projection is 20.0 points at the time of submission and later changes to 21.0 points, the entry will remain bound to the original 20.0-point projection.
Why was I matched with a user who selected picks from a different sport?
QuickPicks contests are structured as peer-to-peer games in which each selection, regardless of sport, is designed to present an equivalent statistical probability. Accordingly, to preserve fairness and facilitate timely contest fulfillment, entries may be matched across different sports within the same contest. While sport-specific preferences are understood, limiting contests by sport would reduce matching efficiency, increase wait times, and potentially restrict contest availability, particularly during off-peak seasons. Multi-sport contest matching is implemented to optimize the user experience and uphold competitive balance.
What happens if the official scoring of a player statistic changes after a contest ends?
All scoring results for QuickPicks contests are determined using official real-time statistics provided by Sportradar. Scoring outcomes are considered final once validated through this source and are not subject to dispute. However, there are instances where official scoring may be updated one or more days after the conclusion of a sporting event. In such cases, lineup results will be based on the statistics provided by our official scoring partners as originally posted at the conclusion of the event. Once the contest has been settled, any subsequent changes to those statistics will not be reflected in the outcome of an entrant’s lineup. That said, Splash Sports reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to retroactively issue corrections in instances involving clear and obvious scoring errors. These corrections will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis.
