Last Updated: October 17, 2024

Certamen Games, LLC d/b/a Splash Sports and RunYourOfficePools, LLC, their parents, affiliates, and subsidiaries (collectively “Splash Sports”, “we”, “our”, and “us”) may use one or more cookies or other tracking technologies (such as web beacons or pixels, collectively referred to herein as “cookies”) on www.SplashSports.com, the Splash Sports mobile app, www.runyourpool.com, the RunYourPool mobile app, www.officefootballpool.com, and other of our online services (the “Online Services”). This Cookie Notice (“Notice”) explains what cookies are and how we use them.  We may update this Notice from time to time, so please refer to the “Last Updated” date at the top of this page to see when this Notice was last revised.  Any changes to this Notice will be effective when we make the revised Cookie Notice available to you on our Online Services.

‍ What are Cookies?

Cookies are small files containing letters and numbers that we may put on your device, depending on your cookie preferences. Cookies play a crucial role by enabling features such as allowing us to keep track of your consent to place non-required cookies on your device, monitor security, personalize your experience on our Online Services, tell us which parts of our Online Services you have visited, help us measure the effectiveness of advertisements and web searches, provide insights into user behavior so we can improve our communications, products, and services.

Cookies may collect personal data (which, in some jurisdictions, may include your internet protocol (“IP”) address). Please consult our Privacy Notice for more information on how we process personal data.

Types of Cookies

We may use the following types of cookies on our Online Services:

  • Required cookies. These cookies are considered “required” for the regular operation and security of our Online Services, as well as for the provision of the services and products you request. Without these cookies, we will not be able to provide a secure log-in, remember your picks or selections, or provide certain other core features of our Online Services, such as the payment process, and electronic billing functionality.  These cookies do not store any personal information.  For these cookies, we do not ask for your consent, but we do inform you about their presence on our Online Services.
  • Functional cookies. These cookies help us personalize your experience on the Online Services by remembering your preferences and settings.  They may be set by us or by third party service providers whose services we have added to our pages. If you reject these cookies, then some or all of these services may not function properly.
  • Analytics cookies. These cookies measure how you interact with content on our Online Services, which helps us improve our Online Services and your experience. These cookies are also used to let our affiliates know if you came to one of our Online Services from an affiliate and if your visit resulted in the use or purchase of a service from us, including details of the service purchased. In addition, we use these cookies to test different design ideas for particular pages. We generally contract with independent measurement and research companies to perform these services for us and, when this is the case, these cookies may be set by a third party.
  • Targeting  and  Social Media cookies. Targeting cookies may be set through our advertising partners and used by them to build a profile of your interests and show you more relevant advertisements on other sites.  Disabling these types of cookies will not opt you out of being served ads. You may continue to receive non-targeted ads.  Social Media cookies are capable of tracking your browser across other sites and building up a profile of your interests. This may impact the content and messages you see on other websites you visit. If you do not allow these cookies you may not be able to use or see these sharing tools.  Under certain state consumer privacy laws, you have the right to opt out of the sale of your personal data to third parties.  You also have the right to opt out of targeted advertising.  You may exercise your right to opt out of the sale of your personal data and of targeted advertising by using this toggle or by enabling a global opt-out signal as described below.  If you opt out, we will not be able to offer you personalized ads, and we will stop sharing your personal data with social media partners.  For more information on your privacy rights, contact us as indicated below.

We may use first-party cookies (cookies placed directly by us on your device) as well as cookies served by third parties. Third-party cookies are most commonly used for analytics or advertising purposes.

‍ How can you set your cookies preferences?

To manage your cookie preferences on our Online Services, you can click the cookie icon in the lower left hand corner of the webpage.   You can change your web browser settings to notify you when cookies are set or to disable cookies altogether, including on our Online Services. You can also delete cookies that have already been set. To manage your cookie preferences through your browser, you can follow the links below or find the cookie management instructions in the support page of your browser (the Help function within your browser should tell you how), depending on the browser you are using:

Microsoft Edge
Mozilla Firefox
Google Chrome
Apple Safari

Certain web browsers and other programs may transmit “opt-out” signals, also called a Global Privacy Control (or GPC) signal (we refer to these as “GPC Signals”), to websites with which the browser communicates. You may need to change your web browser’s settings or add an application to your web browser to enable your browser to send a GPC Signal.  Our Online Services may recognize GPC Signals for visitors differently, based on the location of the visitor when they access our Online Services.  For visitors that access our Online Services from U.S. states that have laws requiring recognition of GPC Signals, we will recognize and apply the GPC Signal to inactivate Targeted Advertising and Social Media Cookies; it will not inactivate Required Cookies, Functional Cookies, and Analytics Cookies.  For others, our Online Services may or may not recognize and apply the GPC Signal.

Please note that some functions on our Online Services will not work properly if you choose to disable all cookies. For example, if you choose to make a purchase through one of our Online Services or put in a password to access a restricted area, you will not be able to do so unless the Online Service can authenticate you through cookies.

You can manage your cookie preferences on our Online Services.
